The Journey Home

Discovering the path to deep inner wisdom and embodiment of your inherent radiance through the practice of Yoga Nidra and Meditation.

Yoga Nidra: Deep Relaxation

Yoga Nidra guides us to an essential state of deep rest through its unique techniques. This practice leads us to a profound state of consciousness where profound relaxation can be achieved. Imagine twenty to thirty minutes of doing nothing—just pure, deep surrender. It is in these moments of deep rest that our minds and bodies truly recover and restore.

In Sanskrit, "nidra" means sleep, but this practice delves much deeper, guiding practitioners on a meditative journey into peace beyond words.

As the practice deepens, superficial desires start to fade, and a profound sense of peace begins to emerge. Intuition sharpens, the mind clears, and creativity flourishes, leading to the realization of the birthright to deep, restorative rest.

The word "nidra" also means "void" and "reveal," hinting at the mystical journey of discovering new aspects of existence. This practice embodies the concept of non-doing, a surrender to the unknown. Awakening from Yoga Nidra, practitioners carry the sweetness of their true nature and the peace of samadhi back into daily life.

Why Yoga Nidra?

In today’s overworked, not rarely overwhelmed, and sleep-deprived society, Yoga Nidra offers special appeal. Also, when someone is experiencing states of inner tension or restlessness, it can be a practice to gently help one return to balance. Many find far less rest than needed, which impacts overall health. Yoga Nidra not only compensates for this lack of rest but also fosters a deep state of relaxation that reveals the true, radiant nature within. While I neither endorse healing promises nor use fairy-tale descriptions, I am thoroughly convinced of the transformative power of Yoga Nidra, revealing the radiant essence of the inner self.

OFFERINGS

In Sound Baths, Yin & Meditation classes, and one-on-one sessions, I offer Yoga Nidra to make this profound experience accessible.

Meditation: Illuminating Inner Skies

The practices of meditation are about waking up to the now — releasing the tendencies and cloudiness that prevent us from experiencing a cosmic state of awareness and boundless joy. In my experience, meditation points us towards IMMERSING ourselves in our natural state of being. It’s an experience in gracefulness, This means that we can’t force it; we can only be it. Thus, when we follow a mindfulness protocol and try to silence the mind, we’re still doing and trying, not being. So what is the path? Falling in love with the (joyful) play towards immersing in Being.

Trust that you already are That. Meditation aims at letting go of the identity of WHO you are, of being a doer, and to rest and relax in the essence of WHAT you are.

I love to work with guided meditation practices that foster a calm mind, learn to be OK with what is in the very moment, to find your center, focus, and a sense of joy and peace. Here - of course - space for silence is carefully preserved to facilitate the meditation experience.

Moreover, I emphasize a trauma-sensitive approach...

Soon, I’ll be sharing some guided meditations here. You are warmly invited to join us live on Wednesday at ahoiYoga for Yin Yoga & Meditation. (see schedule).
